Athletics
Taekwondo
I earned my black belt in taekwondo, a discipline that taught me focus, control, and respect. The training instilled in me the importance of mental strength and self-discipline—qualities that carry over into everything I do.
Track & Field
In both 7th and 8th grade, I competed for my middle school track team at the district level. I was the fastest runner in my school for both the 1600m and 2400m events, pushing myself to maintain endurance and speed over distance.
Soccer
I played soccer for several years, developing teamwork skills and learning how to read the game. While I no longer play competitively, I still enjoy staying active and playing for fun.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of athletics and academics, I love hiking and camping, especially challenging trips like summiting Angel's Landing in Zion National Park or camping in freezing temperatures with my dad. These outdoor adventures test both physical endurance and mental resilience.
At home, I often unwind by reading fiction or timing myself on the Rubik's cube, which I can solve in under thirty seconds. These hobbies may seem small, but they keep me grounded and remind me that focus can turn into progress in almost anything.
